Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 18, 2018 – More water woes for residents of St. Peter’s, New Road, Gillard’s, Pine Gardens and Shadwell.
One month after a period of water rationing in February, the Water Department on Sunday announced a new schedule when water will be available to residents of those areas.

Man shot in Crab Hill, Sandy Point dies of injuries

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 18, 2018 – The young man who was shot Saturday night, March 17 in Sandy Point has died.

Thirty-year-old Calvin Archibald was rushed by ambulance to the JN France General Hospital after he was shot while playing a game of domino.
Informed sources say he received three bullets to head and has succumbed to his injuries as doctors and nurses attempted to save his life.

FIRST BATCH OF PERSONS UNDER THE CANADA-CARIBBEAN SEASONAL AGRICULTURAL WORKERS PROGRAMME DEPARTS ST. KITTS

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 16, 2018 (SKNIS): Thursday, March 15, marked the commencement of St. Kitts and Nevis’ first phase of the Canada-Caribbean Seasonal Agricultural Workers Programme (CCSAWP) for 2018, as the first batch of participants departed the federation for Canada to assist Canadian farm employers during the planting and harvesting seasons.

The group of five, who departed St. Kitts on March 15, was given an auspicious sendoff at the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw (RLB) International Airport by officials from the Ministry of Labour, which is the ministry that coordinates the recruitment of local workers for the programme.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Labour, Ron Dublin-Collins, expressed his delight and that of the ministry for being able to assist persons in this venture.
