BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, February 5, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – On Monday, February 26, 2018, the Leader of the Opposition, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas, will head to the High Court where he would answer questions regarding his eligibility to serve as a member of Parliament while being the holder of a diplomatic passport of the Commonwealth of Dominica, which identifies his nationality as Dominican. This follows the move by the Office of the Attorney General to file a fixed date claim form in the High Court Registry on Monday, January 22, 2018.

Police: Shaquille Pemberton died of natural causes

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 4, 2018 – Police said Saturday they have ruled out foul play in the death of 23-year-old Shaquille Pemberton of New Road, after an autopsy showed that he died of natural causes.

SHAQUILLE PEMBERTON’S DEATH DUE TO NATURAL CAUSES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 03, 2018 (RSCNPF): The Police have ruled out foul play in the death of 23-year-old Shaquille Pemberton of New Road after an autopsy showed that he died of natural causes.
Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Valery Alexandrov, carried out a post mortem on the body of the late Shaquille Pemberton on Saturday (February 03). Dr. Alexandrov ruled that death was due to acute pulmonary failure due to haemorrhagic viral myocarditis and pneumonia.
Shaquille Pemberton’s body was found in the Gillards Meadows area on January 27, 2018. The body was discovered by a passer-by who reported it to the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services, who then reported it to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police.
