BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, AUGUST 10TH 2017 – Ahead of Thursday’s parliamentary debate on new legislation to govern the functioning of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the future, the opposition St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) has accused the Timothy Harris-led PLP/CCM/PAM coalition of decimating the duties outlined in the existing Standing Orders which govern the watchdog committee.

LONDON, ENGLAND – London-based WICNews is reporting that a spokesman for St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris, has declined to comment on a story in which Leader of the Opposition, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas has urged the government to think again about building the new Basseterre High School on an important aquifer.

Man drinks beer full of dead geckos: suit

A California man filed a stomach-turning lawsuit against Heineken beer and Kroger supermarket — claiming he sipped suds loaded with dead, canned geckos.
George Toubbeh said he got violently ill and “suffered from extreme anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder” from the beer he purchased and drank on Aug. 7, 2015, according to his lawsuit filed in Orange County Superior Court.

Rapper DMX, accused of cheating the IRS out of $1.7 million in taxes, could be headed back to prison for violating the conditions of his bail.
Manhattan federal judge Jed Rakoff on Wednesday said he received a report indicating that the rapper/actor, who real name is Earl Simmons, “may have violated the terms of his pretrial release in numerous respects.”
