Basseterre, Saint Kitts, July 30, 2026 (SKNIS): Senator, the Honourable Dr. Joyelle Clarke has thrown her full support behind the Extradition (Amendment) Bill, 2026, describing the legislation as a practical and necessary measure to ensure Saint Kitts and Nevis can effectively respond to modern cross-border crime while preserving the constitutional safeguards that protect every citizen.
Seconding the bill during the Sitting of the National Assembly on Thursday, July 30, 2026, Senator Dr. Clarke said the amendments are designed to strengthen the Federation’s legal framework in an increasingly interconnected world where criminals frequently cross national borders to evade justice.
