Two Bills will receive their first reading, while three are slated for second reading. The government’s good governance legislative agenda continues as it commits itself to transparency, accountability and the Rule of Law.

St. Kitts and Nevis Seeks Enhanced Support for Climate Resilience Initiatives
 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 18, 2025 (PMO) – In his address at the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Regional Dialogue with the Caribbean, Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew emphasized the critical need for increased support to bolster the nation’s climate resilience and sustainable development efforts. 
 

He acknowledged the GCF’s invaluable role, stating, “The simple truth is that the GCF has been a ready, willing, and indispensable partner in helping our Caribbean countries to progress toward their climate mitigation and adaptation goals.” However, he highlighted that among Caribbean nations, “St. Kitts, of all the countries in the region, has had the least support thus far.” The Prime Minister expressed optimism that hosting the GCF Regional Dialogue would be pivotal in ensuring that St. Kitts and Nevis secures the necessary assistance to enhance its climate resilience and achieve its sustainable development objectives.
