ERIN FORECAST TO STRENGTHEN INTO A HURRICANE TODAY.

A TROPICAL CYCLONE ALERT REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ANTIGUA, MONTSERRAT, ST. KITTS, NEVIS AND THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS. A TROPICAL CYCLONE ALERT MEANS IN THIS CASE THAT TROPICAL STORM ERIN HAS ENTERED OUR MOINITORED AREA BUT NOT CLOSE ENOUGH FOR A WATCH OR WARNING TO BE ISSUED. THE ST. KITTS AND NEVIS METEOROLOGICAL SERVICE CONTINUES TO MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF STRENGTHENING TROPICAL STORM ERIN. THE SYSTEM ISFORECAST TO BECOME A HURRICANE BY TODAY AND POSSIBLY PASS DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO ST. KITTS & NEVIS AND THE REST OF THE NORTHEAST CARIBBEAN.

PRIME MINISTER DREW SIGNS TRANSFORMATIONAL USD 50 MILLION AGREEMENT TO BOOST SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE IN SAINT KITTS AND NEVIS

St. George’s, Grenada, July 28, 2025 (SKNIS): In a defining moment for the future of infrastructure and education in Saint Kitts and Nevis, Prime Minister the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew today signed a significant Heads of Terms agreement with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) during the fourth AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF2025). This agreement outlines the Government’s intent to access up to USD 50 million under a climate-linked facility designed to finance major upgrades and development of critical social infrastructure.
