NEMA CONDUCTED AN EVACUATION EXERCISE

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) conducted an Emergency Response
Evacuation Procedures Exercise of District 4 on Friday 25th March, 2022.

The exercise was mainly to strengthen the nation’s tsunami protocols and early warning systems by
testing first responders and residents’ responsiveness in the event of an earthquake that may result
in a direct impact of a tsunami.

New SKN Ambassador to Panama presents credentials

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 30, 2022 (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Aviation): Her Excellency Ambassador Sherry Tross officially began her tenure as Saint Kitts and Nevis’s Ambassador to the Republic of Panama on 29th March, 2022 after presenting her credentials to President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen. The ceremony, which was held at the Palacio de las Garzas (the President’s official residence in Panama) was also witnessed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama, the Hon. Erika Mouynes.
