Female National Heroes: An oversight Government is looking towards correction  

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, September 24, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — While the five National Heroes whose life-size bronze statues were unveiled on Monday September 17 at the National Heroes Park were males, Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris has hinted it might have been an oversight that no female is among them. He has advised that his administration is looking towards making correction.

Tropical Depression Kirk tracks westward but its future is uncertain

Tropical Depression Kirk continued on a fast track toward the Caribbean — but there’s a chance it may not make it there, according to forecasters.

The National Hurricane Center on Monday is also tracking Subtropical Storm Leslie and two other areas in the Atlantic.

Kirk is the only storm that could affect land, and if it did it wouldn’t be until later this week.

One person shot and injured in New Road Sunday afternoon

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 23, 2018 – The quietness of the Sunday afternoon has been punctured by reports of shots being fired in the New Road area.

Residents say one person has been shot and injured and rushed to the J. N. France General Hospital.

POST-MORTEM PERFORMED ON THE LATE PAUL MITCHUM

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 22, 2018 (RSCNPF): A post-mortem was performed on the body of the late Paul Mitchum of Cayon by Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nunez.

 The examination was performed on September 21, 2018. Dr. Nunez reported that the cause of death was as a result of Asphyxia Due to Drowning.

 60-year-old Mitchum encountered difficulty while at sea on September 17 and was pulled out of the water by a family member. He was unresponsive. Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Technicians were summoned to the scene and their efforts to revive him were futile.
