ST. PAUL’S UNITED GO THE DISTANCE TO TAKE GAME ONE

It went the full distance in Game One of the 2023 Super Six finals at Warner Park on Saturday
night as defending champions SL Horfords St. Paul’s United displayed their never-say-die
attitude to win 4-3 on penalties to defeat Rams Village Superstars. Both teams were locked 1-1 at
regulation time, after Village forward Joseph Wilkes, pounced on an error by goalkeeper Jamal
Jeffers to give the Basseterre side an early lead in the 4h minute.

Saint Kitts and Nevis and Zimbabwe Affirm Commitment to People to People Contact

New York – 25^thSeptember 2023: On the sidelines of the United Nations General Debate in full swing this week in New York, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Zimbabwe participated in a brief but meaningful ceremony to sign an Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption for holders of Diplomatic, Official and Ordinary Passports. The Rt. Hon. Dr Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saint Kitts and Nevis and his Zimbabwean peer, H.E. Frederick Shava were signatories to the Accord. Both Ministers expressed similar sentiments that this act will facilitate ease of access of their nationals to each other’s country whether for tourism or business, as we enhance people to people contact.

The Police have arrested and charged Jaheem Nisbett of Upper Thibou Avenue, McKnight, St. Kitts, on two (2) warrants for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition. The offences were committed on September 22nd, 2023, at Lower Prickley Pear Alley, St. Kitts.

POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING DEATH OF DEONJA FINLEY

The Police are investigating the shooting death of thirty-two (32) year-old Deonja “Trenny” Finley of Bird Rock, St. Kitts. The incident occurred on the night of September 23rd, 2023, in Old Road on St. Kitts. Mr. Finley was found laying on the ground along Old Road Bay with injuries that appeared to be gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were called to the scene and he was transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment.
