TOURISM CONTINUES TO FLOURISH IN ST. KITTS AND NEVIS WITH VISITOR BOOM IN 2018

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 16, 2019 (SKNIS): St. Kitts and Nevis continues to experience increased visitor arrivals according to the latest statistics revealed by the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA).

Speaking at his monthly press conference on January 16, 2019, Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris said that “some 149,871 passengers came through the RLB Airport in 2018, compared to 140,338 in 2017.”

According to SCASPA, “this represents an additional 9533 passengers over 2017 for a seven (7) percent increase year on year.”

Additionally, there has been an upsurge in flights coming into the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw (RLB) International Airport.

“Some 7947 flights came to the RLB Airport in 2018 – up 315 over the 7632 flights in 2017,” the prime minister said.

TERRANCE JAMES TO BE NAMED COMMISSIONER OF CORRECTIONAL SERVICES 

ACP Terrance James will be promoted to a newly created post as the Commissioner of Correctional Services in St.Kitts-Nevis. Commissioner James is expected to lead the  overhaul and enhancement of the Correctional Services system in the federation . The Commissioner of Correctional Services  will be afforded all the incentives and emoluments of a Commissioner.

Another promise made and being delivered by Deputy Hon Shawrn Richards #5 (Team Unity)

While in opposition from 2004 to 2010. A villager complained over and over again about the lack of paved roads in Romney’s Ground, Cart Part and the Pound Yard at Downing Street. Despite the many complaints the concerns of the residents of these areas were never attended to. Today all three areas are getting paved roads as promised. Another promise made and being delivered by Deputy Hon Shawrn Richards (Team Unity)

Rihanna is suing her own dad in a war over her brand.

The pop star, 30, is taking Ronald Fenty to court amid allegations he’s using a name she’s already trademarked.

In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ.com , Rihanna claims she has the rights to use her surname Fenty on her business ventures.

She’s accusing dad Ronald of infringing on her copyright by setting up his own talent agency in 2017 and calling it Fenty Entertaintment.

In the documents, the Umbrella star claims her father and a business partner also falsely advertised themselves as her representatives.
