Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 22, 2019 (SKNIS): Universal Health Care will be the special topic on the weekly radio and television programme “Working for You” on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. 

The special guest will be Azilla Clarke, Chair of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Commission for Universal Health Care.

Ms Clarke will engage the audience in a discussion on what is Universal Health Care, the health care system, the Public Health Act, the Medical Act, the National Health Care Insurance System and the Disease Profile of the Federation among other areas.

POLICE TO SCHEDULE AUTOPSY ON BODY OF JELANI LIBURD

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 22, 2019 (RSCNPF): Police are currently making arrangements to have an autopsy performed on the body of Jelani Liburd to determine his exact cause of death.

Liburd was being warded at the Intensive Care Unit at the Alexandra Hospital where he passed away on January 22, 2019.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing. Anyone with information about his incident are urged to assist the Police by contacting the Violent Crime Unit at 662-1023 or their nearest Police Station.

Ground Breaking Ceremony in Sandy Point for the new police station.

Prime Minister and Minister of National Security Dr the Hon Timothy Harris is in Bouncing Hill in Sandy Point for the ground breaking ceremony for the new police station in Sandy Point. With him at the head table are from right, Mr Cromwell Williams, Director PWD, the Hon Shawn Richards, Deputy Prime Minister and the Area Parliamentary Representative, and Acting Commissioner of Police Hilroy Brandy.
Present at the function are Senior Minister the Hon Vance Amory, the Hon Ian Patches Liburd, the Hon Lindsay Grant, the Hon Eugene Hamilton, Minister of State the Hon Wendy Phipps, and a cross section of residents of Sandy Point and from other areas.
