TRAFFIC DIVERSION NOTICE

The motoring public and all road users on the island of Nevis are hereby advised of a number of traffic diversions that will be put in place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018, to accommodate the Miracle on Main Street Christmas Programme taking place in front the Nevis Tourism Authority.

  • During the event, the section of the Island Main Road from the First Caribbean International Bank to Main Street Supermarket will be closed;
  • Vehicles travelling from the Cotton Ground direction will make a left turn unto Chapel Street and vehicles travelling from the Charlestown Police Station direction can either make a left turn unto Government Road or Happy Hill Drive, respectively; and
  • Motor omni buses will be given permission to drop off passengers in the vicinity of the Bank of Nevis and pick up passengers at the bus stop situated along Samuel Hunkins Drive.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 20, 2018 (SKNIS): The spirit of Christmas filled the air at the Mary Charles Hospital in Molineux, today Thursday (December 20), as senior government officials and hospital staff went from ward to ward singing songs of good tidings and cheer to patients and visitors as the hospital hosted its annual Christmas Programme.

The senior government officials that joined the hospital staff were the Prime Minister, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, Minister of State with responsibility for Health, Honourable Wendy Phipps, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, Andrew Skerritt, and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Delores Stapleton-Harris.
