The World Trade Organization (WTO) in collaboration with the Ministry of International Trade in St. Kitts is hosting a three-day workshop on Trade and Environment for the Caribbean Region under the theme “Making Trade Work for Environment, Prosperity and Resilience” to discuss the connection between environment and trade policies for Caribbean countries.at the Ocean Terrace Inn from January 14 – 16.

Miss Universe Jamaica finalist Zandrea Bailey dies after battle with lupus

(JAMAICA GLEANER) — Miss Universe Jamaica 2014 finalist Zandrea Bailey has died after a long battle with lupus.

Bailey, 29, died this morning in a New York hospital where she had been admitted for the past several weeks.

She was diagnosed with lupus in 2012.

POLICE CHARGE TWO FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 13, 2019 (RSCNPF): Two men have been charged in the St. Paul’s shooting incident that left three injured.

Twenty-nine-year-old Maverick Tyson of Challengers Village and Twenty-six-year-old Kentab Tyson of West Farm Project have been charged for three counts of Attempted Murder and one count of Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place. They were charged on January 11, 2019 and the incident occurred on January 07, 2019.
