Notice to Mariners
In preparation to construct the new cruise pier, dredging by Motor Vessel Ocean Traverse Nord has commenced on the western side of the current
cruise pier at Port Zante.
All Mariners including the Ferry, Water Taxi, Catamarans and Fishing BoatCaptains navigating in and out of the Ferry Terminal, the Port Zante Marina and the immediate environs are therefore, strongly advised to proceed at a safe speed at all times and with utmost caution in this area. In fact, all Mariners must navigate around or outside the dredged area which is distinctively marked with yellow buoys for their own safety and for the safety
of their passengers and crew.
As the dredging operations progress further updates and announcements will be given from time to time or as the need arise for navigating in or near the dredged area.

FEDERATION’S TOP COP IS THE NEW PRESIDENT OF THE ASSOCIATION OF CARIBBEAN COMMISSIONERS OF POLICE
Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 09, 2018 (RSCNPF): Hearty congratulations are in order for Commissioner of Police Ian M. Queeley on his elevation to President of the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP).
Commissioner Queeley was elected by an overwhelming majority of his colleagues to lead the organization. The election took place at the conclusion of the recently held 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Conference of the ACCP at the Montego Bay Convention Center in Jamaica from April 30-May 04, 2018. This achievement has made him the first Commissioner of Police from the Federation to hold this post in the thirty-three (33) years of existence of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.

In keeping with their mandate of change, the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party added three new Labour pioneers to their list of stalwarts who are honoured every year during the Labour Day weekend.
This year’s additions were former Governors-General of St. Kitts and Nevis Sir Cuthbert Montraville Sebastian and Sir Probyn Ellsworth Inniss, and former Unionist, Mr. Owen Caines.

Marchers Highlight Social Ills; Condemns Corruption, Nepotism, Crime and Victimisation in St. Kitts and Nevis
Members of the workforce in St Kitts and Nevis used this year’s Labour Day March to highlight a number of issues plaguing the Federation.
Close to 7000 persons took to the streets of Basseterre on May 7th, with majority of them wielding placards bearing poignant messages aimed at those in the high ranks of government.
