SKNSA STUDENTS MAKING WAVES AT UWI CAVEHILL

 

Over the past few years, the students of the St. Kitts-Nevis Students’ Association (SKNSA) have always been seen as some of the most quiet students on campus. However, our SKN youth have made it their mission to break barriers and ensure SKNSA’s presence does not go unnoticed at UWI CaveHill for the academic year 2018-2019. Our youthful nationals, bubbling with creativity and intellectuality, have managed to secure executive positions on some of the campus’ most prestigious bodies – from the Guild of Students, to Hall Executives and even the executives of clubs and societies. They have sprinkled themselves across the campus to ensure that the student body and school administration recognises that we may be small but we definitely are tallawah!

VHS Newsline- Verchilds High School Guidance and Counseling Department its big Exercise Morning as a part of its Health &Fitness week. It was fun and exciting seeing students and teachers exercising this morning. Mr. Morris a former PE Teacher from the B/terre High School was the exercise instructor. He did an excellent job. Thanks to the Ministry Of Education for blessibg our school with one of the best PE Teacher in the world. Health and Fitness week continues tomorrow with Ask The Doctor.

PLP/PM’s Health Walk to be held in Constituency #7 on Saturday April 28

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, April 25, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Health conscious walk enthusiasts are being reminded that the latest edition of the Peoples Labour Party/Prime Minister’s Health Walk will be held this coming Saturday, April 28.

According to Ms Myrtilla Williams, Peoples Labour Party (PLP) National Secretary, the walk will be held in Constituency Number Seven. The usual route takes the walkers along the Island Main Road from the bus stop at Belle Vue through the various picturesque Constituency #7 villages of Tabernacle, Mansion, Christchurch, Bourryeau, Lodge, Lodge Project and ends at Ottley’s Hard Court.

PM HARRIS’ PRESS CONFERENCE ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25TH

 

Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris is pleased to once more update citizens and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis on matters of national interest.

The Honourable Prime Minister’s monthly press conference will be held on Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 from 10:00am in the Parliamentary Lounge at Government Headquarters.

The press conference will be broadcast live on national media and attended by the press corps who will ask questions for the benefit of the listening and viewing public.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS) will stream the press conference live on Facebook Wednesday, April 25th, starting at 10:00am.  Prime Minister Harris’ press conferences are always streamed live on www.facebook.com/sknismedia/

High ranking police officer expresses alarm at the number of illegal firearm seizures in St. Kitts-Nevis

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 24, 2018 – A member of the high command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has expressed alarm at the number of illegal firearms in St. Kitts and Nevis.

According to a police press release, Assistant Commissioner of Police responsible for Operations, Terrence James, stated that the number of firearms being found continues to be alarming.

“We are deeply concerned by this and other firearm and ammunition finds. The public is well aware of the problems we have with drugs and firearms in the federation. The results are clear when we get information and are able to act on it. It takes a community to protect a community. The police cannot do it alone,” ACP James said.
