Pork: Good or Bad?

Published 18 June 2017

We stirred up some controversy recently when we included pork on our list of energy-boosting foods. Some of you questioned whether it was healthy or safe to eat. So you can make your own decision, we thought we’d share pork’s nutrition facts. Is it really the “other white meat”?

Trimming the Fat
If you’re looking for the healthiest pork options, you want lean cuts — tenderloin, loin chops and sirloin roast. Tropical Wave in the Caribbean Has Big Storm Potential

http://www.caribbean360.com/news/tropical-wave-caribbean-big-storm-potential #

Published 18 June 2017

FLORIDA, United States, Sunday June 18, 2017 – There’s a high chance that a tropical wave currently located over the western Caribbean Sea will develop into a storm early next week.

In fact, the National Hurricane Centre (NHC) in Miami says there’s a 90 percent probability of it happening within the next five days. There’s still a chance – 60 percent – that it will form within the next two days.

“The broad area of low pressure located over the northwestern Caribbean Sea continues to produce a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Gradual development of the system is expected while it moves slowly northwestward across the Yucatan Peninsula later today and over the southern or central Gulf of Mexico tomorrow and Tuesday, where a tropical or subtropical cyclone is likely to form,” the NHC said.

Regardless of development, heavy rains are expected over portions of Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, western Cuba, Central America and the Yucatan Peninsula during the next several days.

A hurricane hunter aircraft may investigate the system later.
