Appeal Court rules in favour of Rupert Herbert, upholds US$283,000 in costs against Lindsay Grant

Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 8 2017 – The Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal has ruled in favour of former St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party candidate and former government minister, Mr. Rupert Herbert.

The court upheld Justice Thomas’ quantum of cost amounting to US$283,333.33 or EC$762,999.99 and awarded cost to Mr. Herbert in the appeal matter.

MEET THE FEDERATION’S NEWEST HOMEOWNERS !!!

Meet some of the federations newest homeowners. These families were all presented keys to their new homes at a ceremony held yesterday by the Ministry of Housing and the NHC. Prime Minister Dr Hon Timothy Harris and Minister of Housing Hon Eugene Hamilton presented keys to the representives of almost 20 families who are now proud homeowners thanks to the Unity Housing Solution Programme.

Public still waiting for PLP press conference on allegations of missing campaign funds

Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 8, 2017 – Seven months after promising to deal with allegations of unaccounted campaign funds in his People’s Labour Party (PLP), St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris is yet to call a PLP press conference to deal with the issue which surfaced following the February 16th 2015 General Elections.
