PLP recognises and awards individuals who gave support during its formative days

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, March 28, 2017 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — When the Peoples Labour Party’s (PLP) Political Leader, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris appeared on Sugar City 90.3 FM’s ‘People’s Choice’ programme on Monday March 27, he told the host: “All is well with the Peoples Labour Party. Our support is at its strongest level.”
 
Dr Harris, who is also the Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, told the programme’s host Ambassador Michael Powell that the party had come thus far and especially its phenomenal growth in the Team Unity Movement because of the unwavering support it received from a number of individuals, many who gave voluntary service.

Dr. Drew castigates Prime Minister Harris for deliberate lies

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, March 22nd 2017 – The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) continues to rip into the Federation’s Prime Minister Dr the Hon. Timothy Harris for misleading public statements.

The SKNLP caretaker for St. Christopher 8, Dr. Terrance Drew is the latest SKNLP candidate to castigate Prime Minister Harris that his two-year-old Team Unity Government is responsible for projects which were under construction when he took office in February 2015.

 

Hours after becoming the Federation’s third Prime Minister, Dr. Harris asked for the resignation of ambassadors, directors on statutory boards and corporations, halt ongoing public sector projects and closed the electoral offices in St. Kitts and in Nevis for six months. To date no report has been submitted into the closure despite several public statements that the investilgation is on-going two years after.

Young man killed in Newton Ground

Basseterre, St. Kitts- The federation of St. Kitts and Nevis has recorded another homicide with the shooting death of an individual  in Newton Ground on Tuesday evening shortly after 9:00p.m.
Details surrounding the incident are still sketchy, but The Observer has confirmed the name of the individual as Akeem ‘Ratty’ Bryan. Police are investigating the matter.
This is the sixth homicide for 2017 and the third since Saturday night.
