US judge modifies asset freeze order for two illicit actors granted St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship by PM Harris.

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, May 24th 2017 – A Nevada judge has modified the asset freeze order imposed on two illicit actors granted St. Kitts and Nevis Economic Citizenship in 2015 by Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) complaint unsealed on May 19th 2016 stated that fraud charges against attorney and Nevada resident David Kaplan were filed based on an allegedly fraudulent scheme that raised US$15.8 million.

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, May 24th 2017 – As healthcare in St. Kitts continues to deteriorate, an appeal has been made to the authorities to deal with the thick black smoke coming from the incinerator at the J. N. France General Hospital.

Neighbours in the area have been complaining recently about the black smoke from the new incinerator installed in 2014 for the proper disposal of waste. The new incinerator was among several new equipment purchased and installed in the radiology, laboratory, Catscan, and dialysis units.

What did the Motion of the No Confidence filed on December 13th against Speaker Michael Perkins say?

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, May 23^rd 2017 – Judging from the behaviour of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Michael Perkins, it is evident that he will continue his crusade to stifle democracy in the lawmaking body.

History was made in St. Kitts and Nevis a few months ago when the Speaker Perkins refused to allow debate of an opposition Motion of No Confidence against him.

The Speaker Perkins was accused of “holding himself as judge, jury, and executioner in refusing to allow debate on the Motion of No Confidence filed by the parliamentary opposition against him” on January 20^th 2017.

Tuesday’s rulings by the Speaker are evidence that Mr. Perkins does not intend to allow the five opposition members to debate the issues in the Parliament.
