BODY OF MISSING TEEN FOUND, ONE PERSON IN CUSTODY.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 15, 2017(RSCNPF) The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force discovered a human body that has been identified as missing teenager Leanna Napoleon.

A shallow grave with her body was discovered in the Olivees area overnight Wednesday (June 14).

Doctor Convicted in Michael Jackson’s Death Allegedly Working in Trinidad Without Medical Licence

Dr Conrad Murray is under investigation in Trinidad, where he grew up, after reports surfaced that he was practising there without a medical licence.

 

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Wednesday June 14, 2017 – Trinidad and Tobago health authorities are investigating reports that Dr Conrad Murray, who was convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of King of Pop Michael Jackson eight years ago, has been practising medicine in the twin-island republic without a licence.

This follows a revelation by the Trinidad Newsday newspaper that Murray was attending to patients at a private medical facility in central Trinidad.

Opposition Leader says he takes no responsibility for non-appointment of the PAC over the past 30 months

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JUNE 14TH 2017 – Leader of the Opposition, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas said he will not take responsibility of putting together the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly for the past 30 months.

 Dr. Douglas, using the privilege Personal Statements at Tuesday’s sitting of the National Assembly, informed lawmakers and the Nation that it was strange that the onus is now being placed upon him as the Leader of the Opposition, to act with haste and have the Public Accounts Committee commission on the eve of the 42nd Regional Conference of the Caribbean, the Americas and the Atlantic Region of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) to be held in St. Kitts next week.

Harowe Servo St. Kitts plant expansion begins

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JUNE 14TH 2017 – Expansion of Harowe Servo API in Sandy Point has begun.

It was in February 2014 that then General Manager and Head of Global Operations at API’s World Headquarters in New York, Mr. Kevin Heffler first made the announcement of the expansion during a visit to the plant at Bourkes Eastate, by the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, who was serving as prime minister of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Mr. Heffler who met with Dr. Douglas informed of the decision to construct an additional 5,000 square feet of manufacturing space with a two-story facility – 2,500 square feet on the first floor and an additional 2,500 square feet on the second floor at an initial cost of EC$250,000.

US$5 million loan from SIDF helps OTI stand out as Caribbean leader in sustainable tourism

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JUNE 14TH 2017 – A US$5 million loan from the St. Kitts and Nevis Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) in 2013 assisted St. Kitts’ Ocean Terrace Inn (OTI) to stand out in the Caribbean as a leader in sustainable tourism.

OTI was the runner up for the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association’s (CHTA) Environmental Sustainability Award.

Chris Ghita, General Manager of OTI accepted the award on behalf of the property at CHTA’s CHIEF (Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum) Opening Ceremony on June 2, 2017, at the Hyatt Regency in Miami, Florida.
