PM Harris’ Press Conference Scheduled for Wednesday, May 30th

Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris is pleased to once more update citizens and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis on matters of national interest.

The Honourable Prime Minister’s monthly press conference will be held this Wednesday, May 30th, 2018 from 3:00pm in the Parliamentary Lounge at Government Headquarters.

The press conference will be broadcast live on national media and attended by the press corps who will ask questions for the benefit of the listening and viewing public.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS) will stream the press conference live on Facebook Wednesday, May 30th, starting at 3:00pm.  Prime Minister Harris’ press conferences are always streamed live on www.facebook.com/sknismedia/.

ST.KITTS RESIDENTS EXPRESS OUTRAGE AT OPPOSITION ORGANISED VANDALISM OF GOVERNMENT PROPERTY. CALL MADE FOR VANDALISM LEGISLATION

Citizens and Residents ON St.Kitts  have been expressing their  outrage at what seems to be a organised and well coordinated effort to meticulously vandalise and deface government properties. Over the last 2 weeks a number of structures have been defaced with Grafitti  exhibiting anti-government  messages. The vandalism began at approximately the same period of an  Opposition Leader Dr. Denzil Douglas led press conference in which PRIME Minister Dr. Timothy Harris was asked to resign based on unsubstantiated and “hear-say” statements in a UK Court document.

St. Kitts and Nevis removed from the EU’s List of Non-Cooperative Jurisdictions in light of its commitment to good governance principles

The European Union has removed the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis from its list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes.  The de-listing of St. Kitts and Nevis took effect on Friday, May 25th, 2018.

The Economic and Financial Affairs (ECOFIN) Council’s Code of Conduct Group on Business Taxation – the working group responsible for the listing process – decided that St. Kitts and Nevis should be moved from Annex I to Annex II (de-listed).

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 28, 2018 – A second year law student at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) has told the leadership of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) that its first duty on regaining political office in the near future is to “expeditiously heal this country and bring our people together.”
He declared that young people in St. Kitts and Nevis are not content with substandard that has been set since the change of government in 2015.
