SKNLP Gears Up For A Packed Month Of Activities

 

The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) is gearing up to host a number of events scheduled for next month, May.

The events, which are jointly organised by the St. Kitts-Nevis Trades & Labour Union (SKNTLU) include public meetings, the 2018 Miss Labour Pageant, the Laying of the Wreaths at the graves of fallen heroes and stalwarts, the Labour Day March, the 86th Annual Conference of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party and the Requiem Mass.

SKNLP Condemns UK’s Operation Windrush 

Thousands of Caribbean-born men and women are being threatened by deportation after decades of living in the United Kingdom under Operation Windrush.

This situation came to light following a tightening of the immigration rules under Hon. Theresa May as Home Secretary, where many who journeyed to the UK in the decades following the Second World War – often as schoolchildren – have faced removal unless they can prove they are entitled to remain in the country.

PM HARRIS EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY OF

MS. AGNES FARRELL, PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER OF THE REACH FOR RECOVERY BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION

 

 Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris extends his heartfelt condolences, and those of the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis, to the family and loved ones of Ms. Agnes Farrell.

Ms. Agnes Farrell, a much beloved and inspirational breast cancer survivor who founded the Reach for Recovery SKB Breast Cancer Support Group, has died.

After receiving a breast cancer diagnosis in 1998 and completing her radiation and chemotherapy in Trinidad and Tobago in July 1999, Ms. Farrell formed the first-ever organized cancer support group in the Federation when she returned home to St. Kitts.  The group officially became Reach for Recovery in February 2002.
