Mighty Shadow dead at 77

Calypsonian Winston Bailey, better known as Mighty Shadow, has passed away.

He was 77.

LoopTT received confirmation from NCC Chairman Winston ‘Gypsy’ Peters that he passed away at hospital at 3 am today.

Peters said he was devastated by the loss, having just lost another close friend in pan composer Ken ‘Professor’ Philmore.

Giants in Best of the Rest finals in Constituency Number Seven Domino League 

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 23, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — For having returned the best win in the two elimination matches of Best of the Rest competition that were held on Monday October 22 as part of the 23rd edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition, Giants Domino Club has sailed into the finals.

Held at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project, Giants came up against Small Corner Bar in a match that they led all the way and snatched a comfortable 13-4 win. Giants Domino Club players were excited by the win, as it meant that they have sailed into the finals to be played shortly, but whose actual time is yet to be established.
