Residents of Phillip’s grateful as Prime Minister Harris holds second walkthrough

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, November 15, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — As constituents in St. Christopher Seven continue to celebrate the 25 years of service by their parliamentarian, Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, residents of Phillip’s Village benefitted from a second night of the ‘meet and greet’ walkthrough on Wednesday November 14.

According to the walkthrough’s organiser in Phillip’s Village, Mr William Phillip, residents were extremely moved to see their Area Parliamentary Representative take time off his busy schedule as the Federation’s Prime Minister to visit them on two consecutive days, Tuesday and Wednesday.

FIREARM, AMMUNITION TAKEN INTO POLICE CUSTODY FOLLOWING SEARCH OPERATIONS

Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 15, 2018 (RSCNPF): A firearm was taken into Police custody on Wednesday, November 14, following an operation in the West Farm area conducted by a team comprised of members of the Tactical Unit and the Regional Security Service (RSS).

The firearm, one (1) 9 mm Smith and Wesson pistol, was found on an empty lot of land. Members of the Crime Scene Unit in the Forensic Department arrived and processed the scene and took the weapon into custody for further analysis. No ammunition was found with the weapon.

The same team also found four (4) 12-gauge shotgun rounds during an operation on Thursday, November 15, in an abandoned property in St. Johnston Village. The ammunition will also be processed by the members of the Forensic Department.

 Police investigations into both finds will continue. The total number of firearms taken into Police custody to date now stands at 35.

POLICE INVESTIGATING REPORT OF INDECENT ASSAULT

Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 15, 2018 (RSCNPF): A man from the Basseterre area was arrested and charged on November 13, 2018 for the offence of Indecent Assault.

The offence was allegedly committed on October 31, 2018. The victim reported the matter to the Police on November 09. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.

The Minister of Education, Honorable Shawn. K. Richards finally released the name of the State Scholar last night in a press release. Having used the predetermined criteria, past student of the *Verchilds High School, Mr. Khale Thomas* was identified as the State Scholar. This is a remarkable feat as he is now recognized as the *first past student* in the school’s history to have captured such a prestigious academic title in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. Congratulations ??
